Baby Log Day is designed with your privacy in mind. This policy describes how the app handles your data.

Entries and backups

Baby Log Day stores your entries, baby information, and optional entry photos on your device. Paired Apple Watch sync uses Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework.

You can export a backup and choose where to store or share it. An exported backup may contain sensitive information; the service or person you share it with will receive that information.

Usage analytics and feedback

The iPhone and Apple Watch apps use PostHog, a third-party analytics service. The apps send screen-view events; the SDK can associate events with an app-installation identifier and device or app context. Analytics requests use PostHog’s US endpoint. Starting with version 1.4.0, iPhone events also record onboarding completion, the first saved entry, and subsequent successful saves, with the app version and environment. These activity events do not include baby names, entry contents, photos, notes, or feeding amounts.

PostHog also receives app lifecycle events and may derive approximate location, such as country or city, from the network IP address. Feedback submitted from the same installation can associate these events with the email address you provide.

If you use the in-app feedback form, the email address and message you enter are sent to PostHog as part of the feedback event. Do not include baby health information, photos, or other sensitive details in feedback.

Support requests

When you email support, we receive your email address and the content you choose to send. Contact us to ask about access to or deletion of information you have sent through feedback, support, or cloud sync. Deleting local app data does not automatically delete information previously transmitted to a service.
